The journalist O'Hagan finds out about a mysterious death in South-America. He thinks the deceased is the Reichsleiter Martin Bormann. After some investigation he meets with Hamilton Canning, a prominent soldier in rest. Then he is told a a story about the last few day's of the Third Reich.
